La Sologne

In the center of France and bordering three departments, the area known as Sologne has great natural beauty easily accessible to all.

Its forests are particularly attractive.

On foot, by bicycle, alone or with the whole family, the many convenient hiking paths will put you in direct contact with pristine natural sites. We take pride in the protection and upkeep of the flora and fauna of our lakes and ponds.
From summer to fall, the changing colors of our moors will amaze you.

For mushroom aficionados, there is no end of supply.   Be on the lookout for the multitude of game animals you just might startle around each bend: rabbits and pheasants rustling in the underbrush, the solitary heron perched on the edge of a pond,  the volatile whoosh of the wild duck....

The magic of this land has inspired many authors, including Alain Fournier, Maurice Genevoix and Claude Seignolles. Its serenity has drawn star gazers, with the “Pôle des Etoiles” Planetarium and Radio telescope at Nançay, both conscientiously integrated into the natural environment.

Feel free to come wander and wonder…
