The Office of Tourism

Located at Nançay, in the Cher department of the Sologne district, the Woodland Villages Office of Tourism  opens its doors to you in a building with 110m² of showcase space.

An unusual attraction where you can enjoy an exhibit of paintings, delve into the universe of Le Grand Meaulnes with Alain Fournier, or prepare your stay in the relaxation area.  Tour agents are on hand seven days a week to help you personalize your holiday.

Our opening hours :

  • From April 1 to October 31 : open every day from 10AM to 12:30PM and from 2PM to 6PM.
  • From November 1 to March 31: open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2PM to 5:30PM and from Friday to Monday and bank holidays from 10AM to 12:30PM and from 2PM to 5:30PM.

Boutique

A convivial boutique invites you to browse.  Its wide selection is proof of the richness of the region's specialties, literature, and contemporary art.

Here you will find not only the renowned sablé cookies Nançay is famous for, but also the jams and jellies of Sologne.  Also on hand are art books by contemporary masters whose works can be seen at the nearby “Galerie Capazza” . And of course you will find many books about the regions of Sologne and the Berry, recipe books divulging the secrets of the local cuisine, children's storybooks, curious postcards, magnets, table mats, as well as many other irresistible souvenirs.

Relaxation and Digital Area

The Woodland Villages Office of Tourism is a friendly place that knows what its visitors need.

Its relaxation area has comfortable armchairs where can sit back and rest before getting back out on the road, or watch the TV screen to find out about accommodations, sites to see, and local points of interest. 

You can also connect your computer or smart-phone on our free WIFI, and a self-service iPad  will allow you to access applications pertinent to travel and tourism in the area such as Click'n visit Bourges'n Berry, Berry Province, or Voyages SNCF....  a service that is much appreciated by our travelers.

Many different types of artwork are presented, and the quality of the expositions are regularly acclaimed by our voyagers eager for this type of cultural exchange.

The “Berrycyclettes” bicycle rentals of the Conseil Général du Cher will help to make your dreams come true.

Just contact the Woodland Villages Office of Tourism and you can rent your bicycle in complete safety.  Children's bicycles are also available, as well as kiddie seats.

Parents and grandparents looking for something to occupy the kids will find a fun and educational solution with the Randoland treasure hunt brochures.

Self-guided excursions with riddles to solve are available throughout the five woodland villages for ages  4/6, 7/9, and 9/12. Each village offers to its participants a family  brochure which will take them on a treasure hunt, solving mysteries while they discover the different facets and curiosities of the village.  Whether you're on vacation or simply looking for an afternoon's pastime, Randoland will fit the bill!
