Making astronomical research understandable to the public, the “Pôle des Etoiles” invites you to discover the Universe and the instruments used to observe it . 250M² of interactive displays will take you from the early beginnings  of astronomy to its present methods, and to its future.

Located in the old village water mill, the “Maison de l'Eau” welcomes you to its park, pond, its mill-courses fed by the Barangeon river, and its bamboo grove. The essential element for not only life but energy, water plays a starring role here. You can trace the role of water in the household, in nature via miniature landscapes, and see how it makes a watermill run. Visit the interior and walk through the grounds.

The “Tourbière de la Guette” Peat-Bgog

Follow the duckboards and discover the largest peat-bog in Sologne open to the public: observe the peat-moss, sundew, cottongrass, and other carefully protected flora and fauna that live here.

A self-guided plank pathway allows you to walk through these wetlands without fear of wetting you feet or spoiling this protected site.

Upon reservation, a guide can accompany you through this unexpectedly rich  environment to learn the primordial role peat-bogs play in the hydrology of the area and its contribution to the carbon cycle. Books and literature on these subject are available at the “Maison de l'Eau”.

Greeted by a android in the trenches of  WORLD WAR I in  the year 1914, you will learn what it was like to be a soldier then in France.
